Its history dates back centuries before European colonization in the 16th century, as it was once home to the indigenous Timucua. The interwoven tapestry of Amelia Island includes the French, Spanish, British, and others, all of whom once laid claim to it. In 1735, it was named for the British Princess Amelia, daughter of King George II, while the town at its heart, Fernandina, was named in 1811 for King Ferdinand VII of Spain.

Today, Amelia Island boasts over 13 miles of pristine beaches with more than 40 access points to its sandy shores. In addition, more than 1,100 acres of protected Florida wilderness at Fort Clinch State Park on the tip of the island captivate outdoor enthusiasts and history buffs alike.

Jay and Shirin Kanji started Impact Holdings in 1980 with the purchase of a 34-room motel in Gainesville, FL. Since then, the family-run hospitality business has grown into a diversified portfolio with locations across the southeast. With vast experience spanning hotel, retail, and home services, their roots remain roughly grounded in hospitality. This includes hotel management for several prestigious brands, such as Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt.

For Jay and Shirin, entering the vacation rental industry felt like the natural next step. Their profound expertise has provided deep appreciation for serving guests with care, consistency, and excellence.

Impact Holdings joined Casago because of its strong values, proven systems, and national reputation for excellence in property management. This ensures performance at scale without losing the local, family-owned touch.

Who knew the marsh view would be so mesmerizing! I thought the ocean view was spectacular and did not know what to expect. My family and I would spend hours just totally engrossed in the view of the marshes, the subtle changes in color, the tide coming in and going out, the wildlife, it was incredible and peaceful and beautiful! What made the view even more wonderful was looking at it from the marvelous home that we had an opportunity to share. Beautifully appointed, understated elegance, it says a great deal about the owners. The space and light and everything about this house was excellent. The management and services provided from day one were top notch and made our short family vacation memorable. We will be back!

We typically stay near this location, but this was our first stay at the Pool and Raquet club. The updates to this unit are outstanding, very well done. Vacasa was very communicative during stay.

Shared several concerns with Vacasa…the cleanliness of the linens, kitchen & utensils, as well as the laundry room are a concern for the price and location of this unit.

Dated, but Location, location, location. You will not find a better view. 5th floor on the beach with a full view to the north, it is an ideal location. Turtle Dunes also has one the best and least used pools on the whole AIP. Further, the VACASA staff could not have been more accommodating. Very clean and great communication. The Plantation is magical - been coming there for over 40yrs - eek, so if you're here for the beach, the seclusion, the golf, Fernandina, etc... who cares too much about the unit. It's fit, functional and everything works, but nothing past that as its long overdue for a refresh.

The layout is excellent for everyone being together and being able to find seclusion for private time. We were stuck inside for two days of wind and constant rain from hurricane Debby. The pool is 20 feet from the front door and the ocean approximately 50- 70 yards. I intend to return next year.
